I've read your other posts and understand you suffering from an anxiety condition. I understand as I have one too.
I guess we'll start with a logical thing - which probably won't help much - and that is everybody makes mistakes. No exceptions no matter how high up the hierarchy or whatever face they present to the world. So you are in company.
So having got that out the way I have two suggestions to keep you going, the first being if possible talk to your daughter. If, as I suspect, she is an OK sort of person she will be on your side and may be reassuringly easy to talk to.
If she is not the one is there anyone else, non-judgmental and caring? Trying to face this problem by yourself is horrible. Just telling someone and talking really does seem to lift a physical weight of your shoulders.
I hate waiting for the next day to resolve something, I tend to use the free smartphone App Smiling Mind a lot. It breaks my mind out of that loop of anxiety. It starts off with a very easy 2-minute mode and you can change up when you want. (the background music can be switched off -thank goodness)
The other thing is hte trap I fall into. My anxiety gets me to think the very worst, and it is only by talking to someone I have confidence in -my partner or my psych - that I can get more of a sense of proportion and not catastrophize.
Please let us know how you get on
