I haven’t been here for a while my apologies.

Your pain and discomfort sound quite hard to bear. I’m impressed you are able to concentrate on a book. It’s good to be distracted though and I hope you can get some help to get a little more comfortable. Did they offer any advice or suggestions. I know you have reservations being touched but I wonder if lymphatic massage may help. No idea but massage helps me even if’s it’s just my neck. I tend to bunch up my muscles in knots.

I am rewatching favourite shows and movies because I too forget more than I remember. I have an awesome memory but I must zone out and listen to head chatter while watching the box 😂 because sometimes I remember nothing. So whole new movie or show but also some shows I loved so much that I can rewatch like a 4 year old watching Frozen for the 20th time. I stopped reading years ago due to my eyesight and I now have good glasses but I lost the will to read. I read and write for work and when I log off I log off. Brain goes into neutral.
I will pop into my thread and do a brief update.

I am happy to see you again. I read your thread a few minutes ago & understand how busy you've been. It's okay when you need to be elsewhere, or when you need a break, to be away, as long or short a time as you need. I am pleased w see you around, & seeing your good news. 😸

I'm going to the hospital again to outpatient clinic, & (hopefully) my Doctor there will decide to remove the second drain. The wound on my right side where the other drain was removed last week is still very sore, as are the stitches across my chest, & the shoulders are still not as flexible & I can't reach much without feeling a strain at the areas nearest & in my armpit, where Lymph nodes were removed. It's improving very slowly. The skin nearest the line of stitches is very sensitive. Other areas are very tender to touch. So, no massaging. Later I will need to moisturise, & use a little massage technique then.

I've allowed my helper to help me wash so I am not putting too much strain & trying to not get the waterproof bandages wet, because they come away easily when wet!

She & my other helper, have both had a go at washing my hair. Allowing that helps to keep water off my bandages. It's either that or I try to wrap cling wrap around me....it is tempting, because then I could get under my shower properly. Not full force yet, anyway.

I don't like it, allowing this sort of assistance with personal care. But while I have to protect the wounds, I have to grin or grit my teeth & bear it. They are both areally good about it.

My main helper is not here everyday. There are problems with their new house & parts of the land, which must be dealt with. so I'm trying to spong bath! I hate being stinky & sticky with sweat in the high humidity we've had here in SEQueensland. I try not to complain too much, because at least it is not 40°+ here.

I have a few things I can put on & take off without too much trouble, when I must have something on, that is, because for now, in my flat, I am more comfortable topless!

I'm realising I am feeling freer not having anything (society expects me) to cover up. I put that social expectation in brackets because I'm not sure if this is what I feel free of, or evidence of my woman's body, I don't have to cover because it don't exist anymore, at least on my chest. Self-consciously. I covered up, not liking attention, though not having much to show...but I'm not going out in public bare-chested either. Wonder if I will one day?

I too grealy like audio books, however by and large I prefer them when I'm doing a mindless taks that takes ages (driving is one ) I too like Terry Pratchett, also lots of other SF authors, maybe one of my favorites is Harry Harrison, who can write spoofs like Bill the Galactic Hero, and serious commentary to like Make Room! Make Room!

I guess I've found actual reading ,something you sadly are mainly denied, the most satisfying and immersive experience. In fact I can't remember ever not reading. I do remember my parents in their great wisdom decreed when I was small I should not read in bed . Fortunately their great wisdom also supplied me with a torch to see my way down a country road back from school after dark.

For some reason I went though batteries like nothing on earth (I'd discovered reading under the blankets, nobody was going to deny me the pleasure of Swallows and Amazons and other equally great literature:)

Maybe because when I could read printed books, I had to hold them at about six inches from my face, I never felt comfortable reading while reclining.

One of the best things about the printed book was the way the spelling of words I was reading slipped in, & even uncommon words I had learned to spell just by way of having read them in books. You don't get that with audiobooks. Occasionally, when a text or non-fiction is recorded they will spell names, place names, or have a glossery, but not usually in fiction. Some sci-fi / fantasy do have glossaries, & weird spellings, but readers don't seem inclined to check how to pronounce & if a series is read by two or more readers, I'd appreciate if the latter reader would only hear the first reader's pronunciation of these words & names.

All I can feel is aaaarch. It’s a lot and not over yet. I have a pill I can take now that helps me sleep artificially but it would be not enough. You are one tough cookie.

I went through the most agonising treatment about 10 years ago and I went to work most days. I mostly layed flat in total agony. I got home and layed flat. I suffered a lot and I had 2 others that understood. I was too weak to interact with them but we spoke on the phone. Just know that you are doing super well. You are strong and resilient. I joined a support group and found out I was experiencing normal drug and medical reactions.

Tonight. The weather is good and hopefully tomorrow the sun will be out and humidity is lower.

After reading MC's post, I forgot, what has been suggested to do for pain? When I left hospital they said to just use what I usually have for any pain, such as what I have for my osteoarthritis. & not to use the anti-inflammatory for the times when it is sometimes worse in a joint or two. So, as when my wrist was feeling bad the other a few days recently, I cannot add any extra meds for it.

Mostly, I end up lying down for a while. & it's just as well I get so tired, I'll sleep even while uncomfortable. If I wasn't getting so tired I'd hav a lot more trouble sleeping with how my upper body feels. I am mostly still lying on my back, though initially the feeling under & around my shoulder & under the shoulder blade is so uncomfortable, & a little painful when it all seems to settle, from feeling like I'm lying on a balled up pair of footy socks, to lying on a rumpled rug, & finally, smoothing to just a lumpy mattress feeling.

These swollen &fatty lumps at my sides are just so big. At the end of the row of stitches on my right, that puffy lump is coming to a point where the last/first stitch is, otherwise it is soft & squishy. & tender to pressure.

😹Croix, if only you could hear how my text-to-speech reader renders your cryptic sentence! & it keeps saying, 'spelling error' throughout...so I don't know, something about asking to sacre some dingoes? So far off, I think I need a clue!

It's a challenge fometimes, how people type, using short forms for words, & no punctuation, abbreviations, acronyms I'm not familiar with, & when the whole lot of text is not broken into paragraphs, or just smaller chunks.

I'm guilty of some big chunks, but I do try to put in punctuation, Capital letters, & try to check for spelling errors. No way am I perfect.😸

I know it's more tedious to formulate a well-written text on such things as iPhones. That's one reason I don't want to use my phone for such as BB. I try to be patient, & go through what is written carefully, but sometimes, I feel I lose track & am no longer sure; what was the message?

It makes me sad, knowing how important & difficult it was for someone to post what they have.

To have to rely upon the good formatting, grammar and spelling is another sort of pain, and most frustrating. As around 50% of English is redundant many people skip and produce text that is very hard to read. Habitual use of texting makes matters worse:( Even getting software to spell things out is not going ot work well. Dunno the answer, wish I did.

I will take the point on sentence structures and abbreviations.

There is really nothing I can say that will be of any great help. Your discomfort sounds absolutely terrible and I would have expected they took you off regular pain medications and gave you something stronger especially for the night time. I asked for more panadeine even though it upsets my stomach. I haven’t taken any since weekend but at least it’s there.

Will the breast care nurse come to see you or can you call them. I’m wondering if they can discuss with you about the swelling and lumps that you describe. I’m a great believer in ice packs and heat packs for arthritis I use heat but for my broken foot they say ice. It gives me something to focus on anyway.

I am still watching funny shows and I have my big laugh back. What are you reading you said you liked Thrillers. I’m a Science Fiction nut.

I never said 'thrillers', did I? No, I don't think so. I have listened to a lot of Science fiction, some fantasy, some Aussie literary fiction, poetry, At the moment I have Greg Bear, 'City at the End of Time', I found on YouTube, in two parts because the entire book would run to nearly 22hours.

Yesterday, they removed the drain on the left as well, but really didn't adequately bandage that wound so it was leaking all afternoon & into the evening. The dressing they put on it was saturated quite quickly. Eventually, I tried replacing it, with the dressing they supplied, but that didn't go well. I found some larger band aids of my own, & put a couple of those on, & they are sticking better, & the leaking finally slowed when I was resting.

My groceries weren't delivered until 7:45, & I suppose the fellow noticed the side f my shirt was wet, & offered to bring my groceries inside. Being an 'unattended' delivery, they are supposed to leave things outside the door, & not expect a signature. I've been doing that because I can't wear a mask, even for that short a time. But last night, leaking as I was already, I very gratefully allowed him to bring the groceries in. I'm not sure how I was going to manage & not make matters worse for me trying to bring everything in & lifting items, even one at a time, onto counter & table. I still had to put fridge & freezer stuff away, anyway. I felt done by the time I did that much.

That's when I went for a rest, & snooze, for a couple hours, even though it was about 8:15pm by then, & I hadn't eaten my dinner yet.

My digestive system has been playing up for a couple days, which makes my back hurt as well. Lying down a lot does make my back feel better, but does not help the digestive system get its act together. Took a laxative yesterday afternoon, & hoping I won't need to take another, but still waiting!

I've made appointments to see the GP tomorrow & the Audiologist after, but other than doing some tests, I'm not sure what they can do. It is only reassuring if I can have some physical evidence of what my hearing is doing lately.

I am glad of a quieter day. I'll call my PDr later, & for now, I will have too accept a slightly shorter session length to use the Medicare telehealth without video, item provided. It's too hot & humid to even think of getting fully dressed, if I was doing video calls, let alone going out!

I know I've got to do it tomorrow...oh woe! It's so uncomfortable.

How wonderful they delivered to the kitchen. There are good people out there. Food delivery is the way to go, we have been doing that too. We don’t get everything we order but we get some stuff and can make do with the food we have.
My favourite person came today. My cleaner and if I wasn’t already married I’d propose to her. She gets in and cleans, no fuss and is thoughtful and polite. I bought white wine for visitors we had on the weekend and we didn’t open so I gave it to the cleaner. I don’t drink it. I finally got to see a family member I hadn’t seen for 2 years. I wasn’t worried about Covid because they are clean freaks and more in lockdown than us.

Maybe thrillers is wrong word I thought you mentioned Stephen King books. Some of my family loved spy books but I never had a particular style of writing.

The daily grind of recovery from major surgery fills the day and night. So much to do and so much to deal with and manage. From my understanding I would expect that a lot of weeping from drains being removed is expected and good. Or is it not expected. Do you see your GP face to face will her or she check the bandage for you and put more dressing on. I really rely on my GP I got limited help from Hospital and Specialists. He even came to my home and gave me vitamin injections. Most of my GP appointments now are by phone it’s just so easy.

I do go to the GP. They know I can't wear a mask, & because of my vision, it's very difficult to face time or zoom, & to really examine my body, the GP does need to see clearly, & even touch, to understand better.

I will ask today, about getting the left side better dressing. It is expected to continue a little leaking, but I don't want the dressing to become saturated too quickly & have this fluid dripping down, wetting my clothes or sheet when I am lying down. It's really difficult to change the dressing, because when I try, I am putting a strain on my underarm, & on the nearby stitches. I can't see what I'm doing, so also have to locate the spot by touch. (having thoroughly washed my hands first). So, I want dressings which will have a highly absorbent & larger padded area, so I could keep it dressed longer, & when needed, change it more easily.

My GP can also see more easily if anything doesn't look right.

I want to get a health care plan again, so I can see the physio, & get the exercises right. (not that i like doing exercises, but if I am sure I am doing them right, & if I have a follow-up appointment, I am more likely to do them.)

Stephen King was branded as a Horror writer, but I think he developed into a more complex writer Getting his toes into sci-fi/fantasy, injecting humour into his writing, creating more complex characters as well. He even turned himself into a minor character in one book! Not exactly autobiographical, but based upon himself.

Some of the themes & descriptions may be too much for some people. There were a couple books I had some difficulty with because of what he was writing about. Even fiction, with detailed descriptions, can be upsetting. As someone who would like to write better, I also want writing to 'move' me. If it doesn't it becomes bland & uninteresting.

It’s better going to see GP I find I forget what I need on Telehealth call.

I didn’t realise he wrote so many different types of novels. I get very involved in stories and I can get upset with anything horror or too violent.

Your amazing how you are handling the post operative issues. I think the more absorbent bandages sounds logical and practical.

Hopefully the drop in temperature means a drop in humidity.

Im passing my time fantasising about moving to far flung destinations. Truthfully I’m not adventurous and once I settle then I’m not keen to move. Still I looked at country prices and imagined living in a rural or coastal homes in Australia. I checked the average rainfall and temperatures. Imagined if it was practical. Cyclones are not on the agenda and drought areas and floods are a no go too. I just looked at Thailand rentals and while I have no idea what is a good place and if they are safe I told my husband we are moving to Thailand. Well we are not but I can imagine. Daydreaming.

I wondered how you would get on at the doctor's wihtout a mask, I'm glad they are understanding. There really is no substitute to being there in person for wounds and such. Hopefully your idea of a different type of dressing is appropriate (sounds spot-on) and will do what you need.Your current situation simply makes life harder and generates extra tasks - just what you do not need.

Ordering groceries can be a bit of a pig in a poke, with substitutes or items simply not there . It will be good when you can go and make selections for yourself. I'm glad the delivery man was kind, it restores faith in the world.

I'm personally not all that keen on Stephen King, two stories that stick in my mind (both later made into movies, are The Running Man and The Shawshank Redemption.

MC it sounds like you are trying too much too quickly, a great temptation one has to admit. I hope you improve quickly and are more mobile and in less pain.

Stephen King has many books made into movies, often having a hand in writing the screen plays as well. Were you, Croix, referring only to those becauxe you liked them, but not others? My favourite book of his is either the long version of The 'Stand' or 'Insomnia', or 'Dreamcatcher', or ..oh, do I have to pick!? I very much like 'The Green Mile', which started as an experiment in the serial format, like the theaters King Had visited, say, on a Saturday afternoon, & they would play an episoe, with a cliff-hanger ending, which he'd then have to wait until next Saturday to see how the hero survived. So he published these six short novellas & released them one at a time. I remember hanging out for the next one!

'Under The Dome' was somewhat altered from the book. Most of the characters were pretty much as I expected.

I did finally see the attempt to make 'The Gunslinger' (just the first volume) into a movie,& I was not impressed with that at all. The series is very involved, & he tries writing in different ways & ideas, using metaphor & analogy, & it does take on a rather surreal feel. I was slow to get into it, but once I did,& began to get a good sense of the relationships between characters, even minor characters, (this is one where he has himself as a minor character - & not very flattering either).

Perhaps I do try doing more than I ought, impatiently, & being the only one here most of the time, who can I turn to & get help from? If it's going to get done, it'll be me who does it.

Sometimes I would like someone here all the time, but then again, I don't think I could stand to have someone here all the time - talking, moving about, moving things, in the bathroom when I want to be there, turning on the kitchen tap when I am showering, (eeek!) trying to sleep with someone else around, (unless I had a place with two bedrooms,& once we went to bed, there'd be little movement!) Then I don't know if all that would be worth having someone to find things, pick up things (to keep me from straining too much), to cook when I am too tired to concentrate...I don't know.

There is definitely benefits to having someone around to help out and there’s definitely drawbacks. I have a friend who has a live in helper and she complains constantly about him and he leaves the hose running and floods her yard or talks to her too much and breaks things and then she eats food he cooks and she’s happy with his help. I’m married and I’m glad to have his help but he drives me crazy sometimes.

I had no idea Stephen King wrote those books in my mind he was a horror book writer. I’m interested and I used to love reading then I didn’t have the correct glasses and reading got difficult and I just stopped reading.

How are you keeping motivated and handling the daily chores. Does your helper still come and help will they allow extra help even a few hours.

I hope wound is healing well and new dressing is helping.

I learned this morning, the hospital only funded the nurses I had coming to my place while the drain were in, so now, if I want more help from them, I would have to pay. OI'm don't know how much. The only ongoing problem would be if the wounds or stitches were to become red with infection & I woudn't see that. I have arger bandages from the GP, which I may well use if the wound where the drain on my left should leak again, & dribble down my side, & I would need to change that dressing. I needed to do that this morning.

I'd had a call from my sis, about the legal stuff, & she was planning to pick me up so we could go get yet another form signed in front of a 'Notary Public' (or Aussie equivolent - but I still haven't determined what that would actually be). She found one, practising from his own home, so he could see us today.

So, I thought, give myself another sponge bath, get mostly dressed & ready, & have a little rest before she arrives. As I was also putting things in my bag, the wound on my left side suddenly released too much fluid for the bandage I had on it, & I knew I needed to change it. It didn't seem to want to stop, & I was using paper towels on it, holding them there with my left arm, while lookig for the bandage to put on it.when I removed the soaked one. I decidedto use the last fairly large & padded bandage from the hospital. Difficult things, with the thin very flexible plastic, which easily wrinkles while trying to stick it in place. I think I did it right enough.

That's when the nursing service called asking if I still needed them because if I did I'd have to pay. I told them what just happened, & they said they would phone again Monday to see how I am going.

So, I didn't get a lot of rest before going out with my sis. Bumping along in a car is not a lot of fun. I use one of my little cushions between me & the seatbelt, to provide a little more comfort across my chest.

We got that done, but one of my bros isn't doing much without a whole lot of pushing from my sis. As far as this part of the inheritance goes, it's everyone or no-one.

Another check-up at the hospital next week. Naybe I ought to permanantly reschedule my home helper for the later time she had last Tuesday?

That would have been an awful shock to be told that you would have to pay, based on a technicality like the tube being withdraw. Actually from the description of the discharge I'd wonder if it had been taken out too early.

If I'm not being intrusive wil this be a problem for you (please don not answer unless you think it advisable)

If if would cause a problem I would imagine you have already thought of this but is there a welfare officer in the hospital that can get your free nursing period extended?

Failing that pointing out that journalists ,such as the ABC's Sophie Scott often receive direct contact from persons in distress from the shortcomings of medical administration, and that simply abandoning a person such as yourself wiht your disabilities and circumstances may be of interest. In turn this might provide the hospital with a little motivation.

Doable if you get cross?

I have not read that many of Stephen King, the two I mentioned are simply ones that suck in my mind along with Pet Sematary

I'm afraid that other than being a S Fantasy and they type of tale "then this happened and then this happened ... "etc.. I'm not sure I see the meaning behind it. I think it would well lend itself to a Saturday afternoon matinee series (if such things still existed) as it did in sequential editions of The Magazine of Fantasy and Science Fiction

The drainage has to come out sometime. The way I heard it , it is kind of a toss up between taking it out while it would be relatively easy to do, & have some fluid still coming from that wound, because if they leave it in, it sort of wants to take up residence & becomes harder to remove, although by then there may be little fluid left to drain. The surgeon herself, said come what may, it would be removed last Tuesday. The main problem I have is with the inadequate dressings I was given. I will be okay, I think, using the larger dressing my GP gave me. If the square of padding is something like 8 times larger than the wound, I stand a good chance of covering it, don't I? 😸I asked, by way of demostration, reaching my right arm around my body towards where I think the wound is, reaching about as far as I can, & she the nurse at the GP's said, "Yeah, that's it. Just slap it on there", confirming what I had indicated was close enough.

But I do have to stop myself from panicking just a tad! Saying to myself, "Think, [mmMekitty], just stop & think a moment."

I'm not sure what sort of incident would have to happen for me to go running to the ABC or anything like what you suggest. Can't see how that would not become something too stressful in the event they did deem it newsworthy.

I have read The Gunslinger series, half a dozen times now, I guess, & for me I think it is about the decisions & sacrifiecs, moral choices, stuff like that. Like, how many people would you sacrifice to reach a goal, such as saving the world? Each character has had choices they have made, directions taken in their lives, & most are in one way or other , wanting a chance to make different choices, or to find redemption, or finding aspects of themselves, & unpleasant as they are, in some way or other, owning them & doing something which just might be good - but that is open to interpretation.

It is a journey story, like a road trip story, where the people all learn & grow while on the journey - or maybe not... he had an ending which may be very unsatisfying to readers who really like all loose ends tied & everybody smiling, ever after.

Do you think if somone placed a stick-on bandage at the place there your proper bandage should stop then you might have a marker to guide you, do you think that might help where you should place it or are you OK placing it by yourself?

So far, I think I did okay, with the last one. Of-course, I'm not removing it until I really have to.

I think, it is just as well that to purchase audiobook on CD or MP3, is as expensive as it is, when compared to paperback books,(or the occasional hard cover), so I can't have a huge collection of books like I once did. I purchased some, which I could not find to download. Most of Terry Pratchett's because I know I would read them again & again. I also have a few by Stephen King, bought before I could download them. One is "11.22.63" & by Philip Roth, "The Plot Against America" which are 'what if some part of history could be changed or was different to the history we know.' I like this sort of what if story, especially if I think the author has done lots of research & proceeds logically. Therefore, I think Philip Roth did better in his book.

I was given "The Book Thief" by Marcus Zusak. A much better, more comprehensive book than movie, of-course, but the movie did pretty well, in line with the book.

I had found Margaret Attwood's "Oryx & Crake", & enjoyed that, then found anothe, a sequel, which I had to buy, "After The Flood", & I think there is yet another, I haven't found.

I do like her "The Handmaid's Tale" & the sequel, "The Testiments" which I had to download via Google Books. I don't like doing that.

These can be confronting books, with explicit scenes. Even terry Pratchett to a lesser degree.

I read the handmaids tale a long time ago when my kids were little. It mesmerised me and was so well written also not a thick book. I watched the first movie with Richardson actress playing the lead. It was good too and the series they got out of the short book was pretty amazing. I know more books were needed to get more seasons and I’m enjoying the way they are progressing.
Are audible books freely available at library. I used to get my books and magazines from the library. I couldn’t afford to buy and it seemed so wasteful to me because I’m not ever going to read it again. My kids will read a book over and over again but I don’t understand that. Lol. My parents got 3 books and Videos and magazines every week from the library. I have not borrowed a book for 15 years now.

Drainage after major surgery is the worst and it’s never pleasant. Same as pain they tell you what it’s going to be like but not till you are going through it does the truth come out. I asked once why wasn’t I told xyz could happen and the answer was because not everyone has a severe reaction. I have a broken foot and washing is exhausting and you are washing cooking cleaning doing legal stuff and still find time to engage and reflect. ⭐️⭐️⭐️🏅🏅🏅

I used my GP as my support after hospital and during any medical things.

I might get some through the Local City Council Library but they are doing so musch online. I tried & didn't work it out. Got too frustrated. I couldn't seem to find books I wanted to hear, by name or title, when I decided to try for a specific book. Nothing was coming up in the search results. Me or the system? I don't know.

Haha, no hero,, me. (blushing cat emoji) Just doing what a kitty's gotta do! I have had a little extra help, especially from one of my helpers. The other has had to rearrange her schedule, because I've had appointments on Tuesdays at the hospital. I don't yet know how many more of them there will be.

I look on your book list with trepidation mmMekitty, as I have the feeling you can deal with an unhappy ending if it fits the theme. Unfortunatly since my illness took hold I've never been able to do that, I've gone from someone who could read or view anything to a person who avoids conflict and unhappy endings, plus cannot view or read very realistic police dramas (fortunately most are not realistic at all.

I even have a BBC trilogy on DVD sitting on my shelves, described in Wikipedia:

I leave them there as a sort of litmus test, when I can view/read them I'll be in a pretty good recovery stage.

With my state library I rang them up the first time I wanted to search for and download a particular free book and was very helpfully guided page by page though the menus until I located and downloaded what I needed.

Mind you I had to ring up and be guided with my smartphone Covid app to register vaccinations too :)

MC all downloads in my state library for eBooks and Audiobooks are free, though time limited to 21 days unless you re-order a hold.

I would imagine in your case MK that you could, if you were using my state library, not only have access to those the general public could download but to a special section too.

Another it's so sad, & got me feeling very emotional today. Got me thinking of Mekitty, how it was when she died, all over again. I'm okay with missing her still, being sad again, does feel okay.

So tired again, still in pain. It's going to take so long.

But maybe it's a little better, moving my right shoulder a little more, the left is improving, how it feels, I mean, not good, so uncomfortable, & maybe I was not tired enough to sleep anyway this afternoon when I tried - I couldn't get comfortable.

Yesterday afternoon, into the night, the upstairs neighbour - again. That sort of noise gets to me.

That cute penguin better arrive able to sing harmony or bearing fish! That's all I can say.

I am sorry you’re missing Mekitty, I don’t think the pain of loosing our beloved fur babies ever really goes away completely....

Um Idk, MK...but just wanted to mention it...Umm, do you have a recliner?...(I don’t)...not sure if trying to sleep in a recliner would help you sleep more comfortable...Idk just my thoughts...

It looks like Croix has delivered you a penguin with a singing fish.....I do hope the singing fish...doesn’t sing as good as I do 😂😂😂...After all my voice is the unique sound of wild animals, protesting their captivity....and it took me years of practise to get learn that sound 🎶..😂😂😂....I think a teeny tiny fishy would have quite a soft singing voice...kind of like bubbles popping in mid air..

Hahaha, Thanks Croix & Grandy. but golly gee, the penguin is supposed to sing, & the fish was with the band. I'd imagined the fish was for my tummy! Now I gotta dig up part of the garden for a fish pond. Then I'll want more fish - singing, dancing, cartwheeling fish!

I’m sorry you are sad and not getting good sleep. A recliner would be awesome and I don’t have one. I really want one I’m always uncomfortable.

why can’t you discuss what you want is it because of where this thread is. Maybe start a new one in ptsd section or whichever section it belongs to.

Sad is easier for me with a damaged body it seems to fit. My inside suits my outside or vice a versa. I resorted to drugs for sleep and sadness this last week. I’ve slept but I’m wake up groggy and no energy. There’s only so much sleep deprivation a person can cope with till the start to split to something unrecognisable to the person they were before.

This is your time to lay and rest. Remembering your fur baby and feelings are part of slowing down. Its good you have more movement but take it easy. Do you meditate I don’t but I do listen to relaxation tapes and I always fall to sleep. I may not stay asleep but I’m relaxed for a while.

I will begrudgingly accept the bronze medal but MmMekitty gets the gold. 🏅
