    Hi,

I had a sudden thought about reaching out to beyond blue and now I'm here, thought I'd make the most of this unusual feeling. I know I'm not feeling 100% and haven't in a very long time, I usually cycle between feeling down, feeling angry, or just feeling nothing really. I do feel happy sometimes, but I feel guilty about it which is weird. I haven't really reached out much to anyone even though I know I have people who would be there. I have this thought that this is an issue I caused, therefore it is something I need to fix myself. I guess the anonymity of the forum helps.

Hopefully this is a step in the right direction and will help me open up and get better.

    Thanks for listening,

    Tea Time

    Dear Tea Time,

Welcome to the forums and thank you for reaching out.

Taking that first step is usually the hardest thing, and I'm glad you've crossed that hurdle. Now that you're here, I hope you find it easier to talk about what's on your mind. Your feelings do suggest that you could do with some help and our forums can hopefully offer some support.

You've mentioned that you often feel down, angry or feel nothing. Your happy moments are often marked by guilt, which prevents you from being fully happy. Unfortunately you blame yourself for your situation and place that burden on yourself to fix this.

Reading what you've written, I wonder what do you think you have done that needs to be fixed. Also, why is this something you need to fix yourself, instead of having others support you? If you're comfortable, feel free to share your thoughts with us (and if you're not, it's fine - you can reflect on this privately as well).

In the meantime, I'd encourage you to browse our forums and see if you can relate to anything our other members have shared as well. It may help you understand what you're feeling more.

    Kindly,
    M

Hi tea time except for the unusual feeling, not feeling 100% and the guilty feeling you sound quite a bit about me. And if you ever need to chat I’m here for you ok.

Thank you everyone for your replies. This has encouraged me to try and open up to those around me.

I'm not really sure what I have done that needs to be fixed, but I have this thought that getting better is like an achievement I need to reach myself if that makes sense.

Reading through other posts on the different forums has given me some things to think about.
